MOTHER'S DAY

In the wee hours of a November morning, I became a Mother for the first time. Mom, Mother, Mommy. These were now titles I was privileged to be known by. When the Nurse brought my daughter into my room, she made a point of showing all fingers and toes, and assuring me that my baby was perfect.

During my stay, I would walk to the Nursery to see my baby, and admire the babies of other parents. One particular little one caught my eye. Her Mom had been in the same room as me, and pretty much kept to herself. One of the days, Mom left, but her beautiful little girl was left in the Isolette in the Nursery under constant care. When I asked about this little one, I was told she had been born addicted to the drugs her Mom had taken during pregnancy. Tragic.

Mothers have a great responsibility to take care of our children, before birth and afterwards. However, if there is no positive example to follow, the results may be as the little one I mentioned.

We have a perfect handbook for parenting and all parts of our life. In Ephesians 6:2, we are reminded again of the Commandment "Honor your Father and Mother, so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth." verse 4 goes on to say " Fathers, do not exasperate your children..." That is to say, don't irritate, anger, irk etc.

If the best offense is a good defense, then our best defense for our children is praying for them regularly. The challenges of life for them today are far greater than what we as parents faced when we were children.

Parents, and Grandparents, are you desperate for the lives of your children?

Blessings,
Cheryl

We have recently made some changes in the way we send conference allocations to headquarters in OKC. This has been a very daunting job, but I can say it is completed! That being said, it may have delayed certain funds being distributed. Thank you for your understanding as we grow in technology.

We continue to improve and guide our conference tech forward and this year I have made quite the progress. You will now find, on our website, most forms you need as members of the RMC Conference, as well as forms and documents you need as leaders. Please bookmark the RMC Website and refer to it for all your needs. If there is something you would like to see there, please feel free to contact the office.

NEWSLETTER SUBMISSIONS are due by the 20th of each month! If you would like to contribute to the newsletter, please complete the Newsletter Submission form available on the RMC's website, under RESOURCES.

MISSION MINDED
Mission's Director; Jerry Milhorn

GOD'S INHERITANCE

In our Sunday morning Bible studies we are going through the book of Psalms, and in Psalm 28:9 is a wonderful prayer made by David. He simply says, "Save Your people, and bless Your inheritance...".

As I read that I was so blessed that I began to weep as I realized that we were God's inheritance. Think about that people; God, the Creator and King of the Universe and the One who has need of nothing, sees us as an inheritance.

Paul says in 2 Corinthians 4:7 that we are pots of clay. Many of us are "cracked pots" at that! Still, He sees us as precious ones to be cherished.

What, you may ask, does this have to do with missions? In the greater scheme of things we are all missionaries called to bring others into God's inheritance, whether it be next door or across a vast ocean. Jesus' command was, and is still, for all of us to GO into ALL THE WORLD and preach the Gospel.

Blessings on you all!
